It depends on what you want from religion.  It works for some people but not for everyone.  It gets some people off the streets, and it makes some people into pretentious irritants. Are you looking for peace of mind?  Hope?  An afterlife?  Again, it really depends on what you are looking for.

Also, by what you write, it sounds as if you may have some life stresses that you need to clear your head of or solve.  It may be work, school, family, relationships, or something else. 

I am not going to preach about quitting weed, but if your reason for smoking weed is to deal with those stresses (as opposed to partying), you may have some things going on in your life that you may need to come to terms with.  I am not saying it's easy, just that it is a necessary challenge.

Buddhism was started by Indians, who are Caucasians. A lot of them don't have the skin color anymore, but they are genetically the same thing as Germans, white.

Best to stop being so scared of death and accept life for what it is. Humans aren't special, no deity is looking out for us, the galaxy is vast and most likely contains countless other beings who falsely believe they are special too, but they are just as wrong.

Instead of loving some imaginary super being in the sky for solace about your mortality, it is better to focus on being a productive, honest, intelligent person. Raising your children so they can be better than you, and to continue to propagate the species. If you MUST follow a belief, better to follow the old ways / Gods of your ancestors (like what Shinn does).
