My experience in London. I do not have a problem with the terms Flip or Oriental.
Oriental is something I am familiar and
Flip tended to be used by the Filipinos themselves. It had been suggested in the Forum that I should be re-educated for not finding it a problem.
In my opinion, people should not let the Newspeak Lobby make their decisions for them.
I have been asked if I was Filipino, usually by Filipinos. Others have asked me if I was Chinese, Thai or Korean. No prizes, on guessing the nationality, of the people, asking the question.
