That perspective can only be held in a modern perspective. In the early 1800s, the irish were considered a distinct race, and were hated and despised. While recent perspectives tend to melt those of european descent together, the truth is that europeans hated each other for centuries as distinct races. Italians, for example, were though of as ugly disfigured "guineas". The irish were "micks", in mockery of their name.

The dilution, distortion, and misinformation about foreign cultures which I stated previous has run its course with those peoples, and my opinion is that we are in the midst of that with asian americans.

I must agree that race is a factor. There are few social issues where race is not. But in the case of cultural diffusion, I claim that it is a minor factor. In particular, claiming that race is a factor only distracts from more important issues for which race is the PRIMARY factor.

Lets have more posts on redlining and affirmative action. Lets have more posts on racial fetish and media bias. Those are posts on real racial issues. Cultural diffusion is a problem where race is only one part of the issues, and where education, sophistication, and experience are more important.
