This is all very enlightening, Geoff and... er... others, but I thought this article and this site were born out of a common cause: to bring awareness of the inequalities against Asian Americans and to unite them in a common cause. This adolecent name-calling and arguing is going against that creed. If we're going to solve anything here, the problem needs to be solved on both sides by working together, not fighting against each other.

In other words: work off your steam in the forum. This kind of dialogue gives me a headache, and doesn't present a good image to the outside world.

"The Asians in the US have already chosen their team. They want to play for the "winning" team - the white man."
Whatever. Since when have Asian-American children started choosing to be born and raised in America? GeoffDB, apparently, thinks that this is the case. Maybe he is the one guilty of wanting to "play for the winning team." Oops--I shouldn't have said something like *that* because, clearly, he is someone trying to fix social inequality and race relations since it is he who made it clear to up-until-this-moment ignorant Asian-Americans that they are just "loyal agents" of the "white man."

But GeoffDB is different. He speaks American, lives in America, eats, sleeps, goes to school in America, yet he's no "loyal agent" because he's the one who's going to help all those starving children in that land where his ancestors came from--Africa-- and *he*, unlike others, actually tries to alleviate "racial conflict" in this country...by belittling another race. You have clearly demonstated the insight of a profound intellect.
