(User Info | Send a Message) | Yes, but something about it just isn't right when you have a multi-billion dollar media industry that incessantly sells the white standard of beauty. That affects many AF to the point where they refuse to date AM, before they even meet us. So it is ok to refuse to date AM because of race, but ok to put up countless ads on Craigslist that say, "AF seeks WM"?
I grew up on white media myself. It's just there to brainwash you into the idea of white beauty, and selling beer. It wasn't a until a few years ago, that I stepped back, and realized that men like me, with my skin-color are totally absent in the media.
The WM's idea of a multicultural society is wm af, wm wf, wm bf...

I completely agree! There is nothing wrong with an AF finding herself attracted to a WM. Right you are. The only problem is that your comment isn't really applicable to the AF in question.

I don't think that's the issue at hand when someone limits herself to dating men of a certain race from the start and has never even tried dating among her own (oh, besides that short tryist with a half-Indian). In fact, the very use of the adjective "white" when an AF announces "I only date white guys," indicates she forms relationships with men based on *what* he is, rather than *who* he is as an individual. Her decision, thus, has little to do with "passion and romance" and everything to do with social image and preoccupation with race.
2. "do not let political correctness stand in the way"
I'm not a psychic, but I really doubt the author cares whether "political correctness stands in the way" of her relationship or not. In fact, it looks like she wants it to. Unlike serious interracial couples who try to eliminate racial barriers, people like this are always more than happy to publicly promote racial differences and incur criticism, and then run around defending their screwy thoughts on the subject with wonderful and enlightening articles such as this. "My fantasies don’t involve my taking a dominant/worshipful position over a red-haired laddie…or do they?" Yes they probably do. Otherwise, why would you be so obsessed with talking about it?
If you yourself are in a wholesome Asian-White relationship, then I am sincerely happy for you. But you should probably be more aware that articles like these do not present WM/AF relationships in a very positive light.
