I don't remember Congress passing the 13th Amendment (and the States ratifying it), The Civil Rights Act, and the Voting Rights Act (just to name a few) becuase they were being viciously killed or beaten. The change occured because there was political pressure to do so. The African Americans certianly did not have political clout to do it. So who was responsible? It was the white majority who eventually woke up and realised that the injustices that were occuring in the South had to be put to an end.
Sadly, some of the people on this website are just as racist as the people they want to condemn. |
