Re: Facing Up to Facebook Racism (Score: 1) by Hamstadini (Hamstadini@aol.com) on Monday, September 19 @ 05:47:26 EDT (User Info | Send a Message) http://www.fanfiction.com/~hamstadini | I'm sorry if I was being unclear. I did not say that Anti-black sentiment was not-existant, I was trying to say that the retaliation is hard and fast (in a crackdown sense) whenever such sentiment appears. Because Asian-American indignation over such incidences is rarely reported, other races think they can pick on us with impunity.
Incidences like this are a clear indication that we as a race, pure, mixed, banana, whatever, need to get our voice out of these secluded chatrooms and into the world. TV, talk radio, and opinion columns would be good places to start. And it would be good to start immeadiately.
Speaking of "Seculded Chatrooms" (and playing to people's sense of irony), Can someone indicate to Andrew or whoever monitors this site to register me in the forums? I can't get in, when I use my password, and I've wrote to Andrew twice already. He hasn't responded, not even with "We're not letting you in because your ideas are too radical." I dearly want to join the hate conversations on Sandra Oh and chew the fat about AFs. So please, someone notify Andrew so he can let me in, or at least give me a notice why I'm not being let in! |
