Re: Asians at UC Berkeley (Score: 1) by GeoffDB on Sunday, August 21 @ 05:55:45 EDT (User Info | Send a Message) | "...Money from wealthy donors actually provides schools with the resources to give scholarships to poor students..."
True and false. Don't make things up. Much of that money go towards facilities, infrastructure, athletics, etc. However, yes, some of that dough go towards scholarships.
"...That is, poor people of all colors would receive some type of benefit."
Yea, like you're really concerned about socio-economic disparaties. Problem is it would not resolve the race question. Just admit it, you're not concerned with solving race conflict.
"...this does not occur because underrepresented minority groups would be squeezed out by poor whites and Asians..."
You're a pretty said puppy. That analysis has been repeated by conservatives, but I cannot seem to find any solid, objective social studies findings. My guess is your analysis is BS.
"Professor Richard Sander recently published a study saying blacks are getting into schools that they are underqualified for, fail out disproportionately, and as a result, there are less black lawyers."
Huh? So who the hell is Professor Richard Sander? I've never even heard of the prick. Try quoting a study by a renowned, talented, objective authority whose name we're all familiar with.
You do not state facts. You merely offer poorly qualified, untested conservative opinions. No surprise there.
I will say this though: at least you're good for a healthy belly laugh. :) Keep 'em coming. |
