Re: The Election, the Baby, and the Bathwater (Score: 1) by DalaiWu on Tuesday, February 01 @ 20:07:21 EST (User Info | Send a Message) | One has to question the quality of the source to make such a blanket statement.
Even after the election, do you still believe that Republican or Democrat has the same definition throughout the USA?
NYC Republicans are responsible for all of the improvement here. Even Mayor Koch supported Guiliani and Bloomberg. We recovered from 9/11 because Mayor Bloomberg brought all kinds of business here.
The only reason why Asians become registered Democrats here is because the Democrats scare the Asian population into believing that all social/civic services will be cut by Republicans. Although very few of us use these services, our tax dollars still pay for them and most Asians still want to be able to receive what they paid for.
Democrat in NYC means only Black and Hispanic; and they are the ethnic group that is most prejudice towards Asians here in NYC, Long Island, Westchester, Bergan, or North Bergan.
Since 49 out of 50 of the City Council's seats are filled by Democrats, why should we be treated poorly by other people of color?
Read any of the criminal incidents here in NYC that were perpetrated upon the NYC Asian population and you will find that it was predominately done by Black and Hispanic Democrats. Even Al Sharpton has performed racist acts right here in Chinatown!!! |

I'd be stupid if I vote the way partisans would want me to.
