I considered that possibility. But then again, refer to my Columbine example. Check out the CNN article. They even had the Columbine guns presented in photograph without bothering to name them. The fact that the SKS emerged straight from the very first article, even before any personal info was released, strikes me as something targeted specifically towards foreigners.
