Re: Why Abercrombie and Fitch Still Doesn't Get It (Score: 0) by Anonymous on Friday, October 25 @ 13:37:25 EDT | | hey look i get what u'r saying. You do have the right to be upset, but you also have to look at all the other shirts that are out. Don't jump all over the company. If you don't remember that they(AF) have had many beautiful prints of Asian art and even portrait prints of Asian women. I bought some of these shirts and really appreciate the art. It just seems like you are a little too quick to call discrimination. |

After all they only want to preserve the white race as the the Chinese want to preserve their race. Quit being so sensitive to trivial matters. I'm short and and Scottish descent - so should I start a movement to ban 'short people' jokes and comments about the cheapness of Scottish people? We are smart enough to know that few Asians are like the stereotypes portrayed on T-shirts or whatever. |

With sex appeal. It's ***** awful that they would have the nerve to make fun of Asian people on a t-shirt. Where the hell are these African American gang shirts from A & F?? What the hell are you talking about? Yes stereotypes exist, but when they make fun of other races and generalize, they are going way too far. Making t shirts as a national corporation comes with a national responsibility to keep all the ignorant racial shit in the privacy or your homes if you really think it's funny, but once you go public you intrude on other people's freedoms and humiliate innocent Americans. You're a moron. |

Re: Why Abercrombie and Fitch Still Doesn't Get It (Score: 0) by Anonymous on Wednesday, February 19 @ 18:52:46 EST | I have to completely agree with this anonymous writer. Abercrombie is doing a great job they provied a nice style of clothing just like other brands. And if the asain people take this in such a defensive way then they need to take another look at them selves. Abercrombie is not trying to say " hey lets exployed the asians cuz it'll be fun" they had no intention on this. Now if the asains are trying to get there two sense in then so be it because everyone does but it's moraly wrong to do this because you want attention or money. Look at all the other clothes before you start making up stupid s@#^% so you can get your 15 min of fame.
Thanks Sabrina
by the way abercrombie your doing a great job and i'll always be there to support ya

However, it is not justified to depict ANY person in a manner inwhich demeans them. I'm all for a sense of humor when it comes to these matters but there is an undeniable difference if that humor is used for personal gain despite offending a group of people, as with the A&F t-shirts. |
