(User Info | Send a Message) | in ng's case mine was an emotional response to a dry and sterile review (though there may be no errors in it's content) and after reading what he had to say i had no desire to read the book.
but after reading the second review i am now very curious and actually may go out and try to find the book.
"A momentous literary debut: the life of a Vietnamese family in America luminously observed through the knowing eyes of a child."
can u imagine a work being regarded as "A momentous literary debut"...................
i'll have to read it just to verify such a critique. |
