It's also a shame that a lot aren't. It's also a shame that a lot are playing into those roles and not many are doing anything about it. Look at the media, and look all around you and you see why the image of the exotic AF persist to this day.
If AAF wants debunk the myth, then stop then being the white man's ***** is all I gotta say. Speak up or do something about it. Shun those other AAF you see onscreen that perpetuate those myths rather than being all quiet about it, which is what all you AF been doing.
"Unlike the men posting to this website, I personally have to live with this ignorant stereotype on a daily basis."
Although our stereotypes may differ, it's still a stereotype nonetheless and harmful to us. We too, got our own sets of problems to worry about. You're not the only one that's gotta worry about it. And the other half aren't making it any easier with their bashing & emasculating of us along with the very same ppl that's responsible for perpetuating those myths. |

Exotic as a form of attraction is okay, as long as you don't stereotype it towards an entire culture in a subjugating manner.
Is this a valid distinction? |
