Goodbye.

but in case you care to read my respose, feel free.

30 million people starved to death in China because of their "god" Mao. It is still referred ot today as "3 years of drought". I remember speaking to one of my friends whose family made it out - they have great things to mention about communism, such as eating rats out of necessity, and wiping their asses with river rocks.

Chinese exclusion was put in place because of the higher number of Chinese immigrants as opposed to other groups, and yes- they were scapegoated. However - if you believe that Japanese were elevated in class about Chinese, please do tell that to the Japanese American citizens who were given a nice all expense paid vacation to manzanar and other such exotic locations- courtesy of the US federal government.

I never said China did not have a culture- rather, it has many cultures. For you to assume that all of China, and thus all the other countries which have had influence from China in its past, must then ascribe to and live by that set "culture" which you don't really define - you sir, are a facist.

Asians worked very actively along side all activists in the 60's to ensure civil rights for all peoples. SF state was the site of great student protests during that era, and there were also militant Asian American groups (not Asian) which worked along side the Black Panthers and other groups. One of the first people at the side of Malcolm X when he was assassinated was Yuri Kochiyama, who had worked closely with his group. If you read your Asian American History - you would learn such things.

Vietnam and Thailand are poor countries. Not all whytes regard them as low class though. Don't forget that Vietnamese have demonstrated the highest rate of capital accumulation of any ethnic group EVER in the US. Believe me, many business people are well aware of that. In an interesting turn, lots of manufacturing companies are starting to locate their factories in Vietnam, citing cost of labor in China being too expensive. I hope you as a consultant would be aware of that as well.

But in the end we are arguing two separate things. I think you would be happier and better suited to move back to China (and this is no insult to you - its not a bad place to be) if you are unwilling to believe that there happen to be Asian people in America, who also happen to believe they are rightful citizens, and who also are looking for a fair shake like everyone else. Otherwise- we should all follow your lead and start preparing for the war between the races- where its yellow brother against yellow brother against the world.

Do whyte people of British extraction still worship the queen?

Minh, I hope this is not your last post. I agree with some of the things you are saying-- that AAs do not know enough about Asian history. Instead of giving up, perhaps the best approach would be to teach those who would be interested.

Dude, you sound really angry. But *really* you gotta get over it.

The plight of Asian-Americans in contemporary society has little to nothing to do with what happened in history back in "home countries". For the majority of Americans, people of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese ancestry are all the same.

As a Japanese-American, I could prolly be angry that when my grandparents, uncles and aunts were rounded up as American citizens and thrown in relocation camps that Chinese-Americans did little of substance to help them.

But why? That's in the past.

You actually *do* belong in China, not here, if the "home country" stuff matters so much to you.

Good luck to you.
