If you're "smart enough" to know that the stereotypes aren't accurate, then why perpetuate them? Are we talking about banning Scottish jokes? We're talking about t-shirts marketing and profiting from racist stereotypes. Is Vincent Chin trival? How about "The Chinese must go?" "The Yellow Peril" "No dogs and Filipinos allowed"? This clearly racist merchandise perpetuates racism and is intolerable. Obviously a lot of people have a problem with this, so you can't "pooh pooh" away what people clearly feel is wrong.

if you're too short, scottish, and is too afraid to stand up for your own problems, then you need to sit your sorry butt back down and learn to shut the f**k up especially if you feel like it's none of your problems and don't wanna help. only mouth off if you're gonna do something about it and help, but if you're just going to complain about how sorry america made you feel about your life and how you've come to accepting put-downs against your own people, then like i mention earlier...you're of no use so what-so-ever so you need to stfu and sit your weak-scottish ass down! and STAY DOWN!!

Not racism (Score: 0)

This situation is nothing like that of the Klu Klux Klan. By definition, a group who lacks power in the dominant structure can't be racist. Discriminatory, possibly, but minority groups don't have enough of the dominant resources to break the majority down, even with the banning of inappropriate stereotypical shirts.

You could easily start a movement to advocate better treatment for short people--though, without trying to be rude, disability laws apply to really short people--but you wouldn't get far because your people haven't been sytematically oppressed.

Good luck anyway.
