Totally unfair and just as racist to demand that Asian women must never date anyone but Asian men. I personally prefer Asian men, but I am increasingly concerned with the anger that Asian men misdirect towards Asian women. We need to learn to support one another, not create even further divisions.
My original essay was supposed to be on William Hung and Banzai as examples of the new American minstrelsy, but ended up just doing William and (A)sexuality. Add Long Duk Dong aka "the Donger," Jackie Chan, and Mr. Miyagi to the list as well. |
