bruce lee was a credit to asian portrayal in u.s. film. probably the biggest influence to date. he killed the asian weak-man myth. here's an intresting tidbit...i had a black freind from the ghetto who told me about how big of an influence bruce lee was in the hood back in the day. it just bothers me when people want to diss the kung fu films a little too much.

but i hear what u are saying about the one-dimensional portrayal. but to make a movie with rich asian characters would be a hard sell for now anyway. until that right actor or actors, the right script, the right producer willing to take a big risk comes along, it's not likely to happen in any big way.

one more comment, if jews run the media and the media seems to portray asians in a demeaning way, could it be said that the jews are primarily responsible for the misrepresentation of asians in television and film?
