Re: Sister, Can You Lend an Ear? (Score: 1) by aelward on Monday, April 19 @ 23:05:34 EDT (User Info | Send a Message) http://www.aznhealth.com | It's connecting the dots. People who often talk about love being colorblind or that they have to "sacrifice" their personal life to date within their own race seem to subscribe to the idea that there is one person in this world for them; therefore, they aren't going to limit themselves.
My counter to this thinking is that there are a lot of people who will be compatible with you, and probably many will be of your own race or ethnic group. Ultimately, it is up to you whom you date/marry, but if you believe in the fight for Asian empowerment, dating an Asian gives you a lot more credibility in my eyes just because of the tacit implications of the action. |
