The part I take issue with the that "housewife" is a dirty word. That running a home, and raising a family is demeaning.
I dont have any philosophical objection if a woman wants to be a career executive. The nature of "work" has changed alot, such that have both male and female minds to work on a problem has certain advantages.
But a woman who takes a permanent full time job is by definition giving up on raising a family, which is a 20+ year term full time position. She is becoming, essentially a man.
I dont think that children belong in day cares, and I dont think men are mentally equipped to raise them. Imo, its irresponsible to have both parents working.
Until humans become androgynous drones, until we can raise children in vats and all do the exact same things all day, then there needs to be a separation of labor. Men are sent off to work because theyre not good for anything else.
