Re: Fox Reconsiders Charlie Chan Ban (Score: 1) by parasiatic (EastAssassin@usa.com) on Saturday, July 05 @ 21:24:24 EDT (User Info | Send a Message) | | The same argument that you used could certainly apply to Al Jolson and Amos & Andy, as well. Obviously you don't know what you're talking about (as usual), so you need to rent and watch some Charlie Chan videos to see how the character is portrayed. If you have any sense of objectivity and racial sensitivity for other minorities, which I doubt, you would have the same objection to its negative stereotyping of Asians as you would for the negative stereotyping of AfAms in these two old shows - although these, too, had entertainment values. |

Kim,
I think we might all be more inclined to take your questions in good faith if you didn't respond with your typical snide one-liners when other people ask questions also.
Remember your comment to Figaruna in the UC Law School Affirmative Action article? Here's the address.

Looks like Andrew gave you a considerably more complete answer than you gave Figaruna. |
